I think we will definitely have astronauts living on Mars by the year 2016. I have been spending a lot of time lately looking at the Mars NOW website, and it looks very promising for a habitat to be set up by then. It would be great if one of my former students were actually one of the first to travel to and live on that planet. I would be pumped!
